- Lead and supervise a team of workers on-site, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track with goals.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, management, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that may arise during project execution.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are available and in good working condition to support project activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction or engineering sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse group of individuals.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the workplace.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in project management or safety (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Experience in the mining or infrastructure sectors, particularly in supervisory roles.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in project management.
- Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments.
- Knowledge of advanced technology and tools used in project management and construction.
