Description
Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise operations activities concerned in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Ensures that efforts in the areas mentioned above result in secure, safe, and reliable production of company goods. Opening on 1st shift.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes to satisfy our customers’ needs.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and perform duties within operations. This includes prioritizing tasks, supervising and directing, personnel, operating equipment, and performing physical labor.
- Reviews master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, and revises schedule according to projects, work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as linear operators, laser operators, burn operators, production welders, and fabricators.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to customer specifications.
- Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or services, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Contribute to the completion and effectiveness of training plans, cross training, and training events.
- Assess performance, monitors progress, and addresses employee issues and concerns.
- Support in mentoring, coaching, and guiding employees through challenges, tasks, and activities with the vision of motivating others to complete their job effectively.
- Ensures compliance of guidelines and objectives.
- Complete hourly quality checks and observe daily functions in operations.
- May assist other Managers or Supervisors in other duties or special projects as needed.
- Coaching and Developing Others: Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Developing and Building Teams: Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Education and Training: Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others: Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.

- Administration and Management
:
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. - Transportation: Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software, including applications.
- Safety and Security; Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety for the protection of people and property.
