CNC Operator

Job Overview

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will work individually or within a small team to produce sheet metal parts that meet dimensional specifications from mechanical engineered drawings. Primary equipment includes CNC press brake and CNC turret punch press/laser cutting tools.

• Produce a variety of sheet metal parts in compliance with mechanical engineered drawings and tolerances.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and meet Powell Quality System requirements.
• Participate in ongoing safety training.

• High school diploma or equivalent (desired).
• Ability to read tape measures, rulers, and mechanical engineered drawings, converting fractions and decimals.
• Experience changing machinery for multiple setups across product lines and materials.
• Proficiency with precision hand tools such as square, protractor, and caliper.
• At least 2 years operating and programming the described equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs frequently.
• PC skills: using Powell Oracle MES software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Successfully pass pre‑employment requirements (drug screen, job physical, employment verification, criminal background).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States full time.
