Shift Schedule
12 Hour Nights
:
Night shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule. Team members work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Receive and load milk while maintaining high food quality and food safety standards. Hook up and unload tankers, run quality tests on milk and Clean‑In‑Place (CIP) tankers. Ensure the work area is clean and sanitary and perform regular sanitation within the raw milk receiving building.
Responsibilities- Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules, keeping the work center audit ready.
- Report to and follow the direction of Processing Supervisors.
- Ensure milk is received within specifications and meets all food safety and quality requirements.
- Inspect, document, and transfer products from supplier to designated raw material silo.
- Receive and load milk, byproducts, and filtration ingredients while maintaining high food quality and food safety standards.
- Test and document milk loads.
- Clean process equipment such as silos, lines, and tankers, including hand cleaning parts, CIP, and COP operations on a daily basis.
- Take accurate samples to monitor CIP system for chemical concentration.
- Take accurate samples of products for QA testing.
- Monitor testing equipment and replace supplies as needed.
- Service pumps, valves, and heat exchangers to maintain operational state per Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule.
- Report immediately to maintenance and/or supervisor any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions concerning fairlife equipment, outside hauler equipment, and/or outside drivers.
- Follow escalation protocol based on production and quality triggers.
- Aid in training new personnel or upskilling team members.
- Effectively follow proper standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Complete each shift Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Centerline (CL), and Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL) tasks on a timely and accurate basis.
- Communicate with processing about any anticipated schedule delays and/or changes.
- Work safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures and using safety equipment.
- Diagnose small problems and determine when issues require higher authority input.
- Ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
- Have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Have high school‑level verbal and written communication skills.
- Have basic computational skills and simple math reasoning.
- Operate equipment efficiently after the appropriate break‑in period.
- Obtain or possess an Industrial Truck Operator License.
- Be proficient in English:
Comfortable with written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
Physical Requirements
Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting/Carrying
:
Operator stands throughout the shift and walks on uneven concrete and tile. Lifts up to 60 pounds occasionally; two or more employees lift over 100 pounds together.
Pushing/Pulling/Bending/Stooping
:
Occasionally pushes/pulls objects such as pallets, brooms, and pipe‑fittings. Bends and stoops when servicing equipment, picking supplies or waste.
Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Turning
:
Squats when picking up supplies and during cleanup duties; kneels or crawls under equipment. Occasional twisting and turning at the waist while changing dryer lances or making CIP connections.
Climbing/Balancing/Reaching
:
Occasionally climbs approved stairs or ladders. Reaches below shoulder level for pipe‑fittings and above shoulder level for equipment adjustments or cleanup.
Grasping/Manipulation
:
Frequent use of hands and fingers when servicing pumps, using scrub brushes, and connecting pipe‑fittings.
Work environment temperatures range from ambient to elevated up to 110 degrees due to equipment operation and cleaning. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
