Job Description
Temporary to Hire assembly line associate at Whirlpool Corporation, Marion, OH. This role involves working on a moving/conveyor style production line or a stabilized workstation. The position is temporary with the possibility of permanent hire based on business needs, attendance, and productivity.
Responsibilities- Work on a moving/conveyor style production line or stabilized workstation.
- Assemble and install parts by hand or using tools/equipment.
- Crate and package materials, parts, and products.
- Participate in training to learn standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Ensure safe and quality-focused handling of products.
- Safely use precision hand and portable power tools and machine shop equipment.
- Continuously stand or walk up to 10 hours per day.
- Work as part of an assembly line team or on individual production jobs from start to finish.
- Stand or walk continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
- Bend, squat, and lift up to 35-50 lbs frequently.
- Lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required for temporary-to-hire consideration).
- Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work a 5:35 am – 4:05 pm shift, Monday to Thursday (or 7:00 pm – 5:30 am shift for 3rd shift). Overtime may be required as needed.
- Steel‑toed safety footwear required.
Hourly pay: $18.50 per hour. Upon permanent hire, a full benefits package is offered, including 401(k), PTO, holiday pay, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary benefits, and an employee assistance program. Eligible for paid leave and holiday pay where applicable.
