Overview
Perform complex setups, select tooling and required equipment for machining of parts to required specifications. Planned and oversaw repairs with minimal supervision or feedback. Advanced skills to work to any critical tolerance required for the job. Direct and train other employees in machine operations and processes. Complete work safely and on time to meet customer needs.

- Act professionally when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Use advanced knowledge of machine equipment and machining operations for lateral and vertical lathes, layout machines, boring mills, mills, grinders, deburring tools, drills, forklifts, cranes, rigging, hoists, and computer tools.
- Operate measuring devices such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and gauges accurately.
- Interpret tooling, drawings, scopes, procedures, specifications, and documentation.
- Perform complex setups and unusual machine tool operations, including turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, peening, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, and grinding.
- Read and comprehend drawings, sketches, scopes, and verbal instructions; reverse engineer components to create drawings or manufacture parts when necessary.
- Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance and reporting repairs.
- Accurately measure and record dimensional inspections and pass annual tests.
- Complete layouts of parts and document actions in production and quality logs.
- Train and mentor other employees in equipment operation, drawing interpretation, tooling selection, and repair processes.
- Communicate shift continuity by documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes for efficiency and adaptability.
- Update job knowledge through company educational materials, training, and technical publications.
- Accomplish organizational goals by owning new requests and exploring opportunities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of experience with rotating turbo machinery.
- Advanced rigging capabilities.
- Advanced machining capabilities on manual lathes.
- Experience with turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
Compensation: $35–$65 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
