Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Creative Millwork of Ohio is looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, facility, and production operations running safely and efficiently. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, improving processes, and working in a manufacturing environment where their work matters every day.
This position supports production by maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with new equipment setup, and handling building and grounds maintenance as needed. The role also includes fabrication work, safety inspections, and parts inventory support.
What You’ll Do- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, facility systems, and machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, building systems, and grounds
- Respond to work orders by priority while following Lock Out / Tag Out procedures and company safety requirements
- Keep production equipment in good working order to support uptime and reliability
- Complete daily inspection forms and maintain maintenance records
- Perform monthly safety inspections, including fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency lights, ladders, and platforms
- Assist with setup and installation of new equipment
- Fabricate fixtures, guarding, shelving, caps, and other support items as needed
- Support parts inventory and reorder points
- Operate forklifts and walkie trucks as trained
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: electricity, HVAC, pneumatic systems, or hydraulic systems
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, welding, and cutting equipment
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows-based maintenance systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
