Industrial Painter

The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing parts, applying paint, and performing touch-ups using a spray gun.

• Prepare and mix paint in accordance with established procedures and specifications;
• Handle painted/prepared parts using a forklift or overhead crane;
• Organize the work area;
• Clean, sand, and occasionally strip and degrease parts to properly prepare surfaces for painting;
• Paint parts and perform touch-ups as required;
• Inspect parts (paint thickness, finish quality, etc.);
• Complete quality control and production documentation;
• Monitor the inventory of equipment required for painting operations;
• Clean accessories and equipment using solvents;
• Wear personal protective equipment and comply with health and safety guidelines;
• Perform any other related tasks to support the team in completing departmental projects.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational diploma (DEP) in building painting, auto body repair, surface treatment, or industrial painting certificate (AEP) (asset)
• Respirator certification (asset)
• WHMIS certification (asset)
• Overhead crane and forklift certification (asset)
• Relevant industrial painting experience (2–3 years)
• Ability to work under pressure
