Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated and safety-focused
** Utility Person
** to support daily quarry operations. This role is responsible for assisting with maintenance, housekeeping, production support, and general site activities that contribute to a safe and efficient operation.##
** What You'll Be Doing
*** Perform site housekeeping and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized quarry environment.
* Operate a haul truck to move materials from the pit to the plant in a safe and efficient manner to support production.
* Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to support operational reliability.
* Support production activities by moving materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
* Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures while contributing to team goals.##
** What Are We Looking For
*** Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow established work procedures.
* Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors.
* Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance and quarry operations tasks.
* Dependable team player with strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.##
** Conditions of Employment
*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.##
** Work Environment
*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.##
