Overview
Second shift for this role is approximately 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the week. Primary duties include the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation, and grain handling.
Responsibilities- Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision; assist other mill employees with operating activities.
- Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
- Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
- Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck and operate equipment safely.
- Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
- Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
- Ability to work well with others, take and give constructive criticism, and lend a helping hand.
- Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
- Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
- Driven, organized, and punctual; must be team oriented.
- Great attention to detail.
- High School Diploma.
- Agriculture background is a plus.
