As a MIG/TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components, ensuring every project meets strict engineering, quality, and safety standards. Working as part of a supportive production team, you'll contribute to the manufacture of industry-leading products while maintaining efficient production processes and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components with precision and accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure products meet exact requirements.
- Carry out production and assembly work in accordance with manufacturing schedules, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Operate welding, fabrication, and production equipment safely and efficiently to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure all manufactured products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and minor troubleshooting of welding equipment and machinery.
- Support production operations to meet manufacturing deadlines and delivery schedules.
- Identify and report quality issues, defects, equipment faults, or opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve operational goals.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in welding, fabrication, or a similar engineering role.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and productivity targets.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Sound knowledge of various metals, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
- Experience performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment and production machinery.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.
