Southland Kids Associate

Overview

Position Summary:

The Southland Kids Associate helps the Georgetown Kids Team build and sustain a healthy ministry by creating irresistible environments for families that lead kids to Jesus, build trust with parents, and equip and empower leaders to serve.

Essential Position

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with the Kids Team Lead sharing the responsibility of setting up the ministry for success.
• Build and champion a healthy volunteer team culture.
• Provide leadership each Sunday in Kids’ environments, providing support for Kids’ volunteers, serving families and helping maintain safe and orderly environments.
• Help develop and implement recruiting and onboarding plans for volunteer leaders.
• Schedule weekly leaders for the Kids’ Ministry and monitor leader coverage for each Sunday.
• Manage Planning Center database (add new leaders, track leader placement process, run reports, send weekly serve requests, manage volunteer background checks and renewals and keep leader information up to date).
• Process potential leaders and track their progress through the application, interview, screening, safety and training process.
• Lead and assist with volunteer interviews.
• Collaborate with the Kids’ Team Lead on volunteer leader, care and appreciation and pastoral care with families.
• Help develop volunteer teams to assist with ministry-related tasks during the week (ie. stocking routine supplies, cleaning of toys and equipment, setting up weekend environments to make sure they are ready for guests).
• Assist with purchasing and keeping the ministry budget balanced and up to date.
• Assist with the unpacking and sorting process of monthly curriculum supplies.
• Process weekend documents and feedback on Monday morning (offering, attendance entry, leader and weekend staff feedback, etc).
• Assist with planning and leading special events.
• Collaborate with the Kids’ Team across campuses to help problem solve and become more effective at serving leaders and families.
• Support the Georgetown campus team by building relationships across departments, attending campus meetings, assisting with campus-wide events and contributing to the health of the church.

• Familiarity with Google calendar and Google suite of products
