Overview

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementation of the The PeaCE Project (Positive Childhood Experiences), an initiative made possible with grant funds from the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KYOACC). The Mission of The PeaCE Project (Positive Childhood Experiences) is to equip students with the knowledge and personal tools necessary to make healthy choices by providing evidence-based drug prevention education, empowering youth with effective coping strategies, and strengthening parent and community support networks to foster positive childhood experiences.

. This is a 2-year position (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2028).

Job Description

The Program Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for the management and implementation of grant-funded initiatives within the district. This role ensures that all program activities align with grant objectives while fostering strong community and district-wide partnerships.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in social work, psychology, education, human services, public health, or a related field
  • Proven track record as an experienced leader in community coordination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in data management, reporting, and standard computer applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse groups and organize community-based initiatives.
Performance Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring all project work is completed on time and within the established budget.
  • Collaborate directly with teachers, administrators and other staff to execute grant activities effectively.
  • Plan and execute large-scale outreach events to increase public awareness and engagement.
  • Manage data collection and monitor progress toward grant objectives using standardized assessment tools and screeners.
  • Maintain regular communication with the funder and prepare comprehensive outcome reports.
  • Manage the project budget to ensure funds are spent timely and according to grant directives.
  • Lead efforts to secure future resources and funding to sustain project work beyond the initial grant period.
  • Participate in specialized professional development and share best practices with the district.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support program goals.
  • Reports to Project Director (Kerry McHugh)
Salary

Erlanger-Elsmere Pay Grade – 30

7 hour day, 205 day contract
