Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit

Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) in a 14‑bed community Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Logan Regional Hospital. 36‑hour day shift (0500‑1700). 2:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.

• Assess the physical, social, and psychological status of patients, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills.
• Obtain and evaluate information from the interdisciplinary team, including patients, families, physicians, and other health disciplines.
• Collaboratively develop individualized patient care plans using assessment data and critical thinking skills.
• Involve patients, families, and team members in care planning and provide education as needed.
• Delegate and coordinate interdisciplinary care activities; maintain documentation and provide directions to staff.
• Prioritize and organize patient care delivery, manage time, supplies, and resources efficiently.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions, review goal achievement, and modify care plans as necessary.
• Communicate results and changes in status to patients, families, and the care team.
• Maintain professional practice: comply with legal and ethical standards, regulations, and scope of licensure.

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of licensed RN experience in ICU or high‑acuity setting preferred.
• Valid BLS certification.
