Postdoctoral Research Associate - Y. Liu

This position is for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Engineering Chemistry and Materials & Biomed at the University of Georgia. Duties / Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct independent research on microfluidic and 3D printed platforms for cell migration studies. (
    40% of time)
  • Develop, optimize, and execute cell-based microfluidic assays, including sample preparation, cell culture, microscopy, and experimental workflow refinement. (
    25% of time)
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative data related to cell migration, device performance, and assay outcomes. (
    15% of time)
  • Prepare manuscripts, conference materials, and grant-related research documents. (
    10% of time)
  • Support laboratory operations and provide mentorship or technical guidance to students and junior researchers. (
    10% of time)
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD in Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge: microfluidic device design and operation; 3D printing and prototyping for mammalian cell culture; cell migration assays; fluorescence microscopy and image analysis; biomaterials and surface modification
  • Skills: quantitative data analysis; scientific writing and communication; laboratory management and mentorship
