Post‑Doctoral Associate
The Post‑Doctoral Associate will spearhead a high‑impact, multi‑pronged research program leveraging big data to design and evaluate real‑world studies. The role focuses on developing AI‑driven risk prediction models for drug‑related adverse events, securing funding, and translating insights into clinical practice.
Duties & Responsibilities- AI & Data Analysis (35%) – Develop and validate artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning models to identify and stratify risks for drug‑related adverse events using large‑scale clinical datasets.
- Grant & Publication Writing (30%) – Author high‑impact publications and draft technical sections for NIH and private foundation grant applications to ensure lab sustainability.
- Real‑World Evidence Studies (20%) – Manage and analyze big data repositories to design and execute robust RWE studies that evaluate drug safety and effectiveness.
- Teaching & Mentoring (10%) – Co‑develop and deliver lectures for data science courses and facilitate hands‑on sessions in data visualization and modeling; mentor junior researchers.
- Compliance & Ethics (5%) – Ensure all computational and clinical research adheres to UGA’s ethical and regulatory standards.
- Pharm.
D. or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline. - Extensive experience with clinical datasets and big‑data analysis; proficiency in biostatistics and at least one coding language (e.g., R, Python, SAS, C++).
- Excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills.
- Growth mindset, collaborative team‑player, and high motivation to publish impactful work.
Advertised Salary: $47,476 to $56,484+ (commensurate with experience). Anticipated start date:
May 1 2026.
