This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.
Responsibilities- Lead development of new and existing end‑user customers, focusing on the packaging portfolio of solutions, and identify opportunities at multi-location end users in the Food & Beverage, Healthcare, and e‑fulfillment markets.
- Collaborate with the packaging sales team and inside sales resources to engage on new opportunities with end users and channel partners.
- Determine sales goals and utilize resources and tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Support relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals and generate leads for new business.
- Contribute to the development of short‑ and long‑term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration.
- Use a company vehicle; drivers must maintain a valid driver’s license and have a clean motor‑vehicle history.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of field‑sales experience independently managing a specified territory in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
- Master’s degree in Business or Sales Development.
- Experience with in the packaging industry working through distribution.
- Five years of professional field‑sales experience with collaboration responsibilities in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM tools ( preferred).
- Strong sales and business acumen.
- Strong selling skills.
- Technical/Mechanical understanding.
- Preferred if current qualified employees of the ISMC.
- Ability to use financial data to drive sales.
Work location:
Remote – Cleveland or Columbus. Travel may include up to 30% domestic.
