About Hometown

Hometown empowers schools with seamless digital tools for ticketing, fundraising, and event management, enabling them to create memorable in‑person experiences that bring communities together. We serve athletics, arts, and extracurricular activities, helping schools generate vital funding to ensure every student has access to enriching opportunities.

As a trusted partner, Hometown equips athletic directors, coaches, and school administrators with the tools they need to manage department communications, live events, and fundraisers.

Role Summary

We’re looking for an Outbound Growth Manager to own the top of our sales funnel. This isn’t a stepping‑stone SDR role; it’s a seat for someone who has already put in the reps and is ready to take real ownership. You’ll develop prospect lists from scratch, craft compelling outreach, run multi‑touch email campaigns, and be directly accountable for a meaningful share of the revenue pipeline.

Success will be measured by pipeline generation, outbound campaign performance, and overall contribution to revenue growth for our fundraising sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pipeline Building & Prospecting:
Identify, source, and compile accurate prospect contact data using tools like Claude, Apollo, or custom scripts and internal tools. Maintain and enrich a clean, well‑organized prospect database with up-to-date information. Identify and prioritize high‑fit accounts based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria.
  • CRM Ownership:
Build, maintain, and refine CRM reports and dashboards to track pipeline health, activity metrics, and conversion rates. Ensure all prospect and outreach data is logged accurately and consistently. Surface insights from CRM data to improve targeting and outreach strategy.
  • Email Outreach & Copywriting:
Write sharp, personalized email copy that earns opens, replies, and meetings. Develop and A/B‑test subject lines, messaging angles, and calls to action. Build and manage multi‑step email sequences in platforms such as Instantly or Apollo.
  • Quota & Revenue Accountability:
Own a pipeline build quota. Track your own metrics weekly and proactively flag blockers or opportunities. Work closely with Fundraising Territory Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and feedback loops.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • 2‑3 years of outbound sales or SDR experience with a desire for more ownership.
  • Strong written communication skills — clear, conversational, persuasive.
  • Comfortable with web scraping and data enrichment (even if not an engineer).
  • Experience using CRM tools and generating useful reports.
  • Experience running email campaigns in Instantly, Apollo, Outreach, or similar.
  • Quota‑driven with personal ownership of numbers.
  • Thrives in a fast‑moving startup environment with high autonomy.
  • Nice to have: selling into K‑12 schools, nonprofits, or youth‑serving organizations.
  • Familiarity with Clay, Apollo, Instantly, or similar modern GTM tooling.
  • Track record of iterating outreach based on data.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary for a long period of time, including working on a computer.
  • Position may require travel to client sites or conferences, including standing and walking for prolonged periods in various weather conditions.
  • All Hometown employees must attend a minimum number of client events per year, which may involve travel and outdoor activities.
Benefits
  • Flexible PTO with no annual maximum.
  • 11 holidays and extended winter break.
  • 401(k) – up to 4% match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans offered.
  • Employer HSA contribution.
  • Opportunities for virtual and in‑person collaboration/social events.
Equal Opportunity Statement

Hometown is an equal opportunity employer. It does not discriminate against applicants or employees on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, disability that can be reasonably accommodated without undue hardship, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, citizenship, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
