Reports To: Director of Operations & Engineering

Summary: Provides expert technical support to assigned customer locations. Conducts the integration, operation, installation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment such as display devices, projectors, video teleconferencing systems, fiber equipment, and related equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform specialized technical tasks in the operation, installation, configuration and maintenance of complex audiovisual equipment for Company and customers.
  • Read and interpret AV system drawings, schematics, and construction plans and install AV equipment to meet requirements as detailed in installation plans.
  • Install low voltage wiring and cable; solder and terminate connectors; wire equipment racks; and assemble equipment/devices using the appropriate supports/mounts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot AV equipment failures and make minor adjustments to audio visual equipment and systems.
  • Test and debug systems for final quality assurance and acceptance by the customer.
  • Mentor and train junior-level Audiovisual Technicians.
  • Conduct onsite training for customers on the operation and capabilities of installed equipment.
  • Provide recommendations on new/replacement VTC and AV equipment; direct inquiries to company’s sales department employees.
  • Perform weekly and monthly preventive maintenance (PMC) as required by the customer.
  • Other related duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Experience Associate degree (A.

A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in media arts, computer science, electronics, audio visual technology and a minimum of six months related experience installing and maintaining audio visual equipment.
