Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanic at Schroeder Truck Repair. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will be provided with the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in semi‑truck/diesel mechanics. You will work under the supervision and guidance of experienced technicians to gain hands‑on experience in routine maintenance tasks and simple repairs.

• Assist in conducting routine maintenance tasks on semi‑trucks and diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Support experienced technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Learn to operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of semi‑trucks.
• Assist in disassembling and reassembling mechanical components as directed by senior technicians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

• Basic knowledge of mechanics and a strong interest in the field of semi‑truck/diesel mechanics.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The compensation for the Apprentice Mechanic position will be within the range of $21.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on skills, experience, and performance.
