Avionics Technician

Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension possible based on performance)

Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are looking for a skilled Avionics Technician I to join our team. In this role, you’ll leverage your avionics expertise to perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA and FCC regulations.

• Perform avionics maintenance in accordance with FAA/FCC standards.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components.
• Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Execute wire routing, wiring installation, repair, soldering, and crimping.
• Maintain test equipment, tools, and documentation.
• Support and mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of avionics or relevant technical experience.
• Strong expertise in technical schematic and blueprint interpretation.
• Proficiency in soldering and crimping techniques.
• Must have own tools in good working condition.
• FCC knowledge or GROL certification.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrometers, or pitot‑static equipment.
• Background in Aerospace, Defense, DoD, or Military environment.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (if required).
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and hazardous materials.
• Physically active role (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Safety‑sensitive position involving aviation systems and equipment.
