What You'll Do As a Maintenance Repair Worker 2
  • Performs maintenance, replacement, installation & repair of electrical and plumbing equipment.
  • Performs carpentry work involving maintenance, alteration &/or repair of buildings, equipment & wood structures.
  • Performs basic painting.
  • Operates state vehicle to transport various equipment, tools, parts, materials & supplies to various locations throughout the state or to transport vehicle to dealership for service or repair.
  • Performs minor custodial duties.
  • Performs general exterior grounds keeping duties.
  • Performs minor maintenance on Division vehicles.
Position Specific

Minimum Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction, and in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.

  • 6 months training or 6 months experience in maintenance repair work (basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment).
  • Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.

POSITION SPECIFIC

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires valid driver license to operate state vehicle.

$20.85 - $22.96 per hour
