ATS is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I to work in Fort Campbell, KY. The Aircraft Mechanic I avionic/electrician maintains and troubleshoots SOF peculiar aircraft MDS type MH6/MH47/MH60, as it pertains to electrical and avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, weapons, and aircraft survivability equipment. Responsibilities- This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components and troubleshoot electrical systems as needed or as instructed in technical publications and IETMS.
- This mechanic will assist with the teardown, inspection, and repair of the aircraft during phase maintenance events.
- The mechanic will need to be able to use a multi-meter as well as other standard avionic test sets to maintain and trouble‑shoot aircraft systems.
- This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- This mechanic must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on systems being utilized by the organization.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Must have own tools/toolbox.
- 6+ years' experience in Army aviation. SOF aviation experience is desirable.
- Experience with MH6/MH47/MH60 aircraft desired.
- Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook systems.
- Must have or be able to pass Basic solder certification.
- Must be able to pass solder vision testing.
- Must be able to pass a basic physical to be a part of an aircraft towing team.
- Must be able to climb on or around aircraft and use maintenance stands to conduct work.
