Driver Class A​/Truck Driver - HAZMAT & Emergency Response

Clean Harbors in Logan, NJ is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving and non-driving duties related to hazardous waste clean‑up.

Hourly Range: $28.00 – $29.00.

All new hires must attend a two‑week training academy; travel expenses are paid by the company and a per diem is provided.

• Ensure health and safety compliance through safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks; load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Observe company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials.

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsement.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Familiarity with various mobile devices.
• Physical capability to perform required physical functions.
• Compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard facial hair guidelines.

• Commercial driver experience.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Previous manual labor experience.
