Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

Base Pay: $23.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase after 6 months and another after 1 year.

Overtime Pay: $34.50 per hour.

Productivity

Incentives:

Eligible to earn up to an extra $10 per hour.

Attendance Bonus: Monthly attendance bonuses.

Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days.

• Day shift options:
  Sun‑Wed 4:30 am‑4:00 pm or Sun‑Wed 5:30 am‑5:00 pm
• Wed‑Sat 4:30 am‑4:00 pm or Wed‑Sat 5:30 am‑5:00 pm
• 44–55 hours weekly
• 11‑hour shift
• Two‑month schedule given in advance

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Complete duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products; load and unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
