Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Lockbourne, Ohio. This role offers weekly pay and a career path within a safe supply chain environment.

Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour as temp; $21.00 per hour once permanent.

Hours:

Friday–Sunday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.

• Products handled:
  Pet Food.
• Equipment:
  Walkie Rider, sit‑down forklifts, RF scan gun.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, and tote‑induct products; stage products for loading and unloading of trucks.
• Maintain accurate paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance record.
• Initiative and high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and work using health and safety methods.
• Availability for flexible schedule on various work shifts.
