Position Purpose
Responsible for loading, unloading, transporting and positioning materials to and from various sites on the rooftop of residential homes and commercial buildings while upholding the company’s standards for outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods, ensuring all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Facilitate safe and effective distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs per company safety guidelines.
- Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained and certified) to transport building materials from flatbed trucks to rooftops.
- Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
- Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Work closely with drivers and team members to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items up to 100 lbs and operating machinery. Good balance and comfortable working at significant heights on varied roof surfaces. Experience primarily outdoors and on rooftops, exposed to varied weather. Safety equipment such as hard hats, safety harnesses, and gloves required. Exposure to loud machinery noise is inherent.
Preferred Qualifications- Reliable transportation for commuting.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks and a pre-employment drug test.
- Proficient in verbal and written English;
Spanish proficiency is a plus. - Safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA guidelines and proper use of PPE.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.
- Forklift certification preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
