Truck Driver CDL A Local Shuttle

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Georgetown, KY — offering weekly pay and excellent benefits for a rewarding driving career.

Pay and Schedule

• Weekly pay with a guaranteed minimum of $980 per week
• Hourly rate of $24.06 per hour
• Weekly shutdown bonus of $2,000 paid in two installments
• Safety bonus of $250 per quarter if applicable
• Monday – Friday schedule, start time 5:15 PM

Equipment and Support

• Operate a 36‑month or newer Day Cab tractor‑trailer with a Dry Van 53’ trailer
• Guaranteed back‑up with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 locations nationwide
• Company‑paid scale bypass

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past three years, or
• 2 years’ experience within the last five years, or
• 5 years’ experience within the last ten years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
