Truck Driver CDL A Yard

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Driver in Georgetown, KY. You will be paid weekly, with an hourly rate of $25.09 and guaranteed 40 hours per week (up to 50 hours). The role includes local home daily yard driving on a 53’ dry van with weekly pay of $1,300 or more.

• Minimum age 21 years
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor‑vehicle verification for the past 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test
• Provide a valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements
• Class A experience:
• 9 months in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years in the past 5 years, OR
• 5 years in the past 10 years
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor‑trailers on the yard and within assigned public road areas
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations, continuously update training, and provide customer service
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs, including move and yard inventory records

• Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days
• 80 hours of PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use or pay for it)
