Road & Rail Services is hiring an experienced and dependable Senior Vehicle Shuttle Lead to support our first-shift operation in Georgetown, Kentucky. This working leadership position helps coordinate the safe and efficient movement of vehicles throughout the facility while providing daily direction to shuttle drivers.
The Senior Lead will remain actively involved in the work area, monitor employee performance, assign daily responsibilities, and ensure company and customer procedures are consistently followed. This position is well suited for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and can keep a team focused in a fast-paced automotive logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily vehicle-shuttle activities and provide guidance to assigned employees
- Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and communicate daily production expectations
- Assign work based on staffing levels, operational priorities, and customer needs
- Monitor vehicle movements to ensure work is completed safely and accurately
- Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and take immediate corrective action
- Ensure employees follow company policies, customer requirements, and established procedures
- Train new and existing employees on job duties, safety rules, and work instructions
- Verify that employees understand and properly perform their assigned responsibilities
- Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, and teamwork throughout the shift
- Encourage employees to meet production goals without compromising safety or quality
- Conduct operational, safety, or quality audits as requested by management
- Communicate staffing concerns, equipment issues, incidents, and production delays
- Assist with vehicle shuttling and other operational duties when needed
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Complete shift documentation and other reports required by management
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Safe driving history and ability to operate customer vehicles
- Previous experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory role is preferred
- Automotive, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, or vehicle-processing experience is helpful
- Ability to provide clear instructions and respectful performance feedback
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability
- Ability to organize work and adjust priorities during a busy shift
- Commitment to workplace safety, customer service, and vehicle quality
- Willingness to work alongside the team and assist wherever needed
- Ability to work outdoors and remain on your feet for extended periods
