Warehouse III - Returns Clerk

San Mar is a leading apparel brand headquartered in Ashland, VA. The Warehouse Associate III works in a fast‑paced distribution center, unloading and loading trailers, handling inventory, and supporting warehouse operations.

Location: 10462 Hickory Hill Road, Ashland, VA 23005.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.50.

• Unload and load incoming and outgoing trailers using powered lift equipment.
• Sort, palletize, and move product; use a Radio Frequency (RF) unit and internal operating systems.
• Process picking requests, pull materials, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery area.
• Generate reports to support error‑resolution functions in receiving.
• Assist distribution center functions such as inventory audits, customer service, invoicing, and tagging shipments.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; check out equipment and return it in the same condition.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy warehouse environment; alert others to potential hazards.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 4‑6 years of warehouse experience unloading and loading trailers.
• 1‑3 years operating a forklift or heavy equipment.
• San Mar Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow changing priorities.
• Proficiency with the internal operating system and RF unit.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Mandatory overtime, including potential weekends.

The employee must stand, walk, talk, and hear continuously; frequently lift and move up to 60 pounds, operate powered equipment, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. The job requires climbing stairs, kneeling, squatting, bending, carrying, and working near conveyor systems. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Personal protective equipment such as harnesses and headsets may be required.

Work occurs in a moderately noisy environment with exposure to dust, weather changes, heat, and cold.
