Job DescriptionThe role is a preschool instructional paraprofessional supporting classroom instruction and individualized educational programs for students age 3‑5.
Responsibilities- Support classroom instruction, including scripted curriculum, assistive technology, and individual education program (IEP) goals.
- Assist with daily living skills, toileting, hygiene, and community travel as required by the IEP.
- Collect and analyze student data, prepare reports, and adjust instruction in collaboration with the special education teacher/liaison and classroom teacher.
- Implement behavior, emotional, and social skills support plans, record anecdotal notes, and provide de‑scalation techniques as needed.
- Provide clear verbal and written feedback to teachers and assist with classroom organization, routines, and set‑up.
- Attend all professional development days and participate in team meetings with the school team.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate’s Degree preferred. - Experience working with students age 3‑5, including students with identified special needs.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers.
- Positive attitude, initiative, flexibility, and punctuality.
- Associate’s Degree preferred;

Per Georgetown Education Association contract. Eligibility for health insurance, contractual sick days, and personal days.
