The Academic Interventionist will provide daily small group targeted instruction based on classroom and assessment data within our MTSS model. The interventionist collaborates with classroom teachers, curriculum coordinator, and building principal. The successful candidate will have teaching experience and knowledge of K–5 educational practices. Strong knowledge in mathematics at an elementary level is preferred. The candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, other paraprofessionals, and service providers within the school to provide the best possible education for all students.

Developing positive relationships with students and staff is at the core of what will make the candidate successful in this position. The individual will work under the general supervision of the classroom teacher, building principal, and/or another designated administrator.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
• DESE license preferred
• Experience working with children
• Ability to establish positive & supportive relationships with students
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student(s), family, and school information
• Ability to provide academic instruction to students with educational disabilities and/or learning deficits
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred
• Bachelor degree preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

$32.00 per hour, three (3) hours per day. This position is NOT eligible for the Town's health insurance, contractual sick days & personal days, and tuition reimbursement.
