Job Overview
Chemical Production Operator | Direct Hire | Georgetown, SC | $24-27/hr. based on skills and experience | Rotating 12-hour schedule – work only 3 or 4 shifts per week
Kelly® is looking for a Chemical Production Operator to work directly with a specialty manufacturing organization in Georgetown, SC. This is a direct hire opportunity.

- Gain valuable experience operating advanced chemical production equipment
- Operate and control process equipment such as reactors, dryers, hoppers, packaging technology, valves, and vents
- Load and stage raw materials to production equipment and areas
- Perform weighing operations, including gross vs net weight calculations
- Package intermediates and final products using automated and manual equipment
- Follow batch sheet SOPs and quality standards, monitoring cycle time, temperature, flow rate, and raw materials
- Use computer and control room systems to direct processes and/or people
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment per company and OSHA standards
- Perform quality control sampling of in-process materials
- Previous experience in a production or chemical manufacturing environment (highly preferred)
- Ability and willingness to work a rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends
- Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written instructions in English
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel preferred)
- Comfort working around moving mechanical parts and chemicals, and outdoors occasionally
- Ability to follow OSHA standards for wearing a respirator (clean-shaven except for a mustache)
- Previous forklift experience (preferred)
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to follow safety procedures for confined space and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
