Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (RN)

A Brief OverviewThe Nursing Professional Development Practitioners (NPDP) oversee staff education, support role transitions, and provide training and resources, while mentoring new and current employees. The NPDP will often participate in nursing research, share the results, and integrate new findings into clinical practice.
What you will do- Program development and leadership for at least one facet of the Organizational Development Department
- Provide consultation, tailor plans, develop recommendations and act as a change agent regarding nursing education needs and roles
- Facilitate a variety of educational programs encompassing all levels of ability and needs of the organization personnel, especially those requiring clinical expertise
- Participate in planning and implementation of educational offerings and opportunities
- Ensure policy and procedures, competencies, equipment and supplies needed for education offerings are current and operational to provide optimal education experience
- Aid as needed to the overall Organizational Development department initiatives
- BSN Required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (MSN in Education) Preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience in education and /or administration Preferred
- Three (3) years of recent clinical experience as a registered nurse Required
- Knowledge of Nursing Professional Development, adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and measurement of outcomes
- Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other health care providers
- Demonstrated skill in leadership, teaching, education, communication, group dynamics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Exemplary level of core customer service skills and competency
- Registered Nurse – South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required
- Basic Life Support Certified – American Heart Association Required
