As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and clear reporting, using a computer or tablet as needed.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or local authorities as directed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor management and/or way finding while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Operate radios and applicable electronic systems, complete security-related reports, and assist with audits of keys, equipment, and/or restricted areas in accordance with post requirements.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.

+ Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.

+ Be 21+ years of age.

+ Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
