As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine armed patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support staff and visitors with professional customer service, and contribute to a caring, people-first team that acts with integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting medical personnel and/or law enforcement as needed per post orders.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.

+ Control access at designated points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor flow, and assisting with way finding while observing for policy violations and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and maintain required armed post readiness in accordance with licensing, training, and use-of-force guidelines.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 2+ years' law enforcement/military police/corrections experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card/license.

+ Be at least 21+ years of age.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
