South Carolina:
Georgetown: 661 Steam Plant Drive | Construction/Maintenance | Full-time
Description:
- Supports reliable and efficient generating station operations by maintaining mechanical equipment, piping systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission systems in a state of operational readiness.
- Understands the hazards associated with job task assigned and follow safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Inspects, troubleshoots, assembles, installs and repairs steam, gas turbine and hydro generating equipment. Performs PM’s on rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- Fits and welds high pressure steam piping and boiler parts.
- Maintains transmission piping and associated equipment for air, hydraulic, lubrication oil and water.
- Aligns and balances rotating equipment.
- Completes all safety and mandated training courses, both on-line and Instructor led.
- Fabricates and machines parts to close tolerances.
- Completes work order documentation including work performed, labor required and materials used.
- Operates mobile/overhead cranes and forklifts. Rigs and lifts station equipment.
- Maintains a 24-hour/day on-call status for emergency work at night, on weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Performs duties as lead man on projects and during major outages.
