Aerial Saw Pilot Position Overview
Our company is seeking highly skilled and experienced MD500 pilots with long‑line expertise and a demonstrated commitment to safety. The successful candidate will perform aerial saw operations while adhering to the highest standards of operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Safely operate MD500 helicopters in low‑level wire environments conducting aerial saw operations.
- Execute external load operations in complex wire environments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with ground crews to ensure seamless project execution.
- Current FAA Commercial Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Certificate
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
- Minimum of 2,000 total helicopter flight hours
- Proven external load experience, including at least 200 hours operating in wire environments
- Demonstrated experience operating MD500 helicopters
- Ability to successfully complete a company interview and checkride
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screening
- Pass comprehensive pre‑employment background checks, including criminal and driving record reviews
- Current Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate or documented flight instruction experience
- Previous experience in utility operations or aerial saw operations
