TraC-n-trol is a provider of integrated controls for the water/wastewater industry. We are an automation contractor in need of an experienced senior level accountant with business operations experience. Join our office of approximately 10 personnel and 25 field personnel. We are located in Georgetown, Texas, and seek an accounting manager for a full-time position. You will assist the Chief Financial Officer with hands-on bookkeeping and accounting requirements for the company and assist the management team in advancing our operations.

Accounting Manager (Senior-level accountant with business operations experience) reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Employment type:
Full-time. This role supports the CFO in bookkeeping, accounting, and operational initiatives to help sustain and grow the business.
- Directly responsible to the management team for company financial reporting and data integrity.
- Bookkeeping—accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll administration, cost accounting, banking (responding to needs defined by the CFO), and routine and year-end close-out requirements in preparation for CPA tax filings, financial audits, reports, and other requirements.
- Review support staff work and processes for payables and receivables.
- Asset management and record keeping for property renditions.
- Sales tax reporting to the State Comptroller's office.
- File and data management.
- Oversight of work-in-progress reporting (PoC accounting).
- Experience in a similar position supporting a dynamic, growing contracting company.
- Experience in an Office Management role with an understanding of business operations within a dynamic construction industry.
- Strong supervision and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and telephone skills; strong written communication skills.
- Multi-tasker with excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
- Mature, disciplined, and trustworthy — part of the management team that maintains confidential records and accounts, coordinates with section managers, officers, and other personnel.
- Non-smoker, neat, organized, and professional.
- Strong accounting experience in the construction industry; an accounting degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of Quick Books Enterprise—Contractor Version with experience transitioning to an ERP (to be developed; this is an essential skill), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and ACT! Contact Database (preferred). Experience in migration to an ERP system is essential.
- Experience in accounting for processing invoicing, payables, receivables, and posting of job costs to projects. GAAP and Project Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting experience is essential.
- Familiarity with reporting certified payroll under the Davis-Bacon Act.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to focus under multiple deadlines and requirements.
- Ability to work in a predominantly technical and professional environment, as well as coordinate with trade-oriented personnel.
