Position Summary: Hanwha Convergence USA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-driven Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, drive month-end/year-end closing processes and ensure corporate financial accuracy. This position requires advanced knowledge of GL accounting, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and variance analysis. The Senior Accountant will exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing financial data, supporting annual audits, and optimizing accounting workflows using Oracle Net Suite.
Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Korean are required to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional regional teams.
- Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and trial balance reviews.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, analytical schedules, and management reports with detailed variance analysis.
- Oversee full‑cycle AP/AR operations, corporate credit card expenses, and employee expense reimbursements, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Perform and review complex account reconciliations, analyze ledger transactions, and resolve accounting discrepancies using independent judgment.
- Support and coordinate annual financial audits and tax filings with external auditors and corporate finance leads.
- Evaluate, establish, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and internal control enhancements within Oracle Net Suite and related systems.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger practices, and financial accounting
- Advanced hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Oracle Net Suite highly preferred) and automated accounting tools (, Concur, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with high attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and discretion under administrative exemption criteria.
- Proven organizational and time‑management skills to handle complex, concurrent tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Korean is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience (renewable energy or corporate environment preferred).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification or active CPA candidate preferred but not required.
- Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, and communication devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
- Occasionally lift and move office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Travel to customer and project sites, including occasional international travel, as business needs require.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid passport.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
