Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Assistant to support the Loan Department. Based in Austin, the Loan Assistant will work closely with loan officers, borrowers, and Loan Department staff to ensure loans are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with loan policies. The Loan Assistant will provide a wide range of clerical and other duties relating to the loan function of the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain confidentiality of borrower information in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate core values as defined by TMF and Wesleyan Impact Partners when interacting with associates and constituents.
- Monitor and handle telephone calls, email, and physical mail.
- Respond to borrower inquiries and assist with routine problems.
- Prepare letters, reports, audits, statements, amortization schedules, and drafting agreements for loans.
- Prepare payoff quotes, process paid files, and prepare lien releases.
- Image documents and emails into electronic filing system.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in loan system and tracking systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Prepare, send, and monitor email ballots to Loan Committee.
- Coordinate meetings, Zoom links, and conference calls.
- Proactively track insurance and work with insurance agents and borrowers to obtain current policies.
- Process online portal registrations.
- Process online applications through Salesforce and coordinate with loan officers.
- Accept loan payments, assist with payment processing, and process payment receipts.
- Provide services as a Notary Public serving the State of Texas.
- Perform any additional duties, tasks, and projects as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in banking, lending, or administrative support (loan processing experience strongly preferred).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing systems (e.g., Silverlake, Xperience, Laser Pro, Docusign, Salesforce and/or Banno).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
