Job SummaryAn Automotive Service Technician repairs and inspects Infiniti vehicles. The main duties include using diagnostic tools to identify and diagnose potential issues with a customer's vehicle, explain problems with the vehicle to the customer and perform maintenance and repairs on the vehicles to fix or prevent them from future breakdowns or issues.
Duties/Responsibilities- Perform Oil Changes:
Drain and refill motor oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid to specified levels - Lubricate Vehicle Components:
Apply lubricants to chassis fittings and wheel bearings to prevent friction and wear. - Inspect Vehicles:
Conduct a multi-point inspection to identify and document any fluid leaks or other service needs, including checking tire pressure and adding air as needed. - Replace Filters:
- Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with service advisors and clients keeping them informed about the vehicles condition. - Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the service area and tools organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment. - Maintain Safe Working Environment:
Follow all safety procedures, drive slowly and defensively, work cautiously, ensure proper PPE is used at all times. - Other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of automotive systems.
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Ability to provide friendly customer service.
- Lube Technician or auto mechanic training preferred.
- Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
