As an Automotive Technician
, you will play a key role in diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to quality. You’ll utilize your technical expertise to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while ensuring every vehicle meets MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturer, and company repair standards.

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep customers’ vehicles in running condition; properly document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the direct supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed, but not Sundays. Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license (in applicable locations) within 30 days of hire date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent;
  Technical School experience preferred.

The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. Temperatures in the work environment vary and may include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on outside conditions. Safety goggles or other PPE may be required.

• Stand up to eight hours per day and walk to gain access to various areas of the building.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to handle or manipulate objects frequently.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus.
