Description
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Construction expects the following abilities from the Construction Project Manager:
- Manage the pre‑construction, pre‑planning, and construction project scheduling process.
- Review and approve project budgets (labor, material, subcontractors) to determine allocation of resources from start to finish while maintaining budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Manage project finances, including profitability and cash flow, and be accountable for overall job profitability.
- Actively resolve design conflicts and collaborate with engineers, architects, and other trades to establish project specifications.
- Lead strategic planning, project submittals, RFI and change‑order processes; implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections.
- Recognize and implement change orders as necessary; approve payment supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Supervise subcontractors and support personnel; manage PE’s and APMs.
- Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials, scheduling logistics, and maintain client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or 10+ years of related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience leading construction projects up to $15 M in scope.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; consistent dependability and availability.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction office environment and manage documents related to work orders and personnel.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office, Excel, Word; experience with Auto Bid, Primavera P6 Scheduler, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and project management experience; ability to prepare a SWOT Analysis for projects.
- Experience in supervising subcontractors and procurement of vendors and suppliers.

Pay range: $45.00 – $65.00/hr.

This is a Contract to Hire, fully onsite position in Georgetown, TX.
