What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating small‑group phonics sessions for gifted K–2 learners, with each lesson informed by student data rather than scripted materials.
- Conducting running records, evaluating reading levels, and creating your own differentiated instructional groups.
- Leading 1:1 and small‑group coaching sessions that use school currency, leaderboards, and relationship‑building to motivate students toward ambitious goals in adaptive platforms.
- Monitoring live student progress within adaptive learning tools and adjusting instruction as the data shifts.

- Teaching content areas outside reading and writing (math, science, and social studies are not included).
- Drafting IEPs, attending committee meetings, or managing school district administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
Drive years of reading advancement in a compressed timeframe for gifted K–2 students by combining adaptive technology with focused phonics instruction.

- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- At least 2 years providing small‑group early literacy instruction to students in grades K–2.
- Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, organize instructional groups, and create differentiated instruction independently without relying on pre‑packaged curricula.
- Direct experience teaching gifted or high‑performing students (gifted & talented programs, specialized schools, or academic enrichment camps).
- Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning technologies and interpreting student performance metrics.
- Available to work on‑site at the GT campus in Georgetown (Austin), TX. Relocation assistance is provided.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Advanced Orton‑Gillingham or multisensory structured literacy training beyond entry‑level certification.
- Familiarity with adaptive reading systems (such as Raz‑Kids, Lexia, or comparable K–2 platforms).
- Proven success coaching students performing well above their grade level.
- Experience leveraging student data dashboards to inform real‑time instructional choices.
