1st Grade 6th Grade SLP in Georgetown, TX

Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming  academic year. With a current SLP preparing to retire, there is a significant opportunity to provide crucial in-person services for a diverse group of students eager to make progress. Multiple contract positions are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with placement determined based on your preference and experience.

School schedule hours vary: elementary runs from 7:30 am-4:00 pm, middle school from 7:45 am-4:00 pm, and high school from 8:30 am-4:00 pm.

Desired Qualifications &

Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
• Prior experience or strong interest in school-based settings, supporting grades K-12
• Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 50-60 students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of elementary, middle, or high school populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted speech and language services to students, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and language needs
• Complete evaluations, write and update IEPs, and collaborate on eligibility determinations
• Work closely with classroom teachers and school staff to support generalization of communication skills across settings
• Document student progress and adjust intervention plans as appropriate
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
