LUNCH MONITOR (PART TIME) – GEORGETOWN, TEXAS

• Team: Support Staff
• Reports To: Food Service Nutrition Coordinator
• FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
• Salary: $16.28 – $19.45 per hour
• Schedule: 9:45 AM – 1:45 PM, Monday–Friday (Part‑time)
• Calendar Days: 176 days
• Location: Gateway College Preparatory School, Georgetown, Texas

Monitor student behavior during lunch service, assist with cafeteria cleanliness and flow, promote student safety, and execute tasks under the supervision of the Food Service Nutrition Coordinator.

• High‑school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic first aid and CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of meal‑pattern requirements and food‑service regulations
• Physical ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and stand for extended periods
• Preferred:
  Three months of experience working with children

• Manage student behavior during meal service and refer issues to teachers or principals as needed
• Communicate with students and staff in a positive, professional manner
• Observe and circulate throughout the cafeteria to assist students and maintain order
• Support clean‑up and wiping of tables, and overall cafeteria hygiene
• Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at scheduled times
• Encourage good table manners and food‑service etiquette
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Nutrition Coordinator

• Physical activity: moving around, bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for long periods
• Assistance with children opening lunch items when required
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation protocols in a food‑service setting
