Salary Range: $12.50 To $13.75 Hourly

Substitute Teachers to support K–12 schools throughout the Austin area
. As a
Substitute Teacher
, you will help maintain classroom consistency, support student learning, and make a positive impact when regular teachers are unavailable.

No teaching certification is required. If you have
60+ college credit hours or an Associate’s degree
, you may qualify to become a
Substitute Teacher with Teachers Now. Paid training and onboarding support are provided.

• Flexible scheduling—choose assignments that fit your availability
• Paid training provided
• Opportunities for long-term assignments

• Follow classroom lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
• Manage student behavior and encourage participation
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions
• Take attendance and communicate concerns to school staff
• Support school staff in maintaining learning continuity

Monday–Friday availability

Full Day: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Half Day: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM or 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

• 60+ college credit hours or Associate’s degree
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
  
  Ability to work with students in a K–12 setting
• Must pass required background check and fingerprinting
