Job Description & How to Apply Below

Most schools begin with, "What should a six-year-old know?" We start by asking, "What is this six-year-old capable of?"

ool, gifted learners don't sit and wait for the curriculum to reach them. They advance at the pace their readiness allows, completing years of academic content through AI-powered instruction while dedicating the remainder of their day to building the confidence, communication skills, resilience, and leadership qualities that align with their intellectual capacity. Your function isn't to deliver lessons from the front.

It's to help extraordinary young learners develop the habits and character that allow exceptional ability to thrive.

You’ll guide one K-3 cohort band—either Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Half your time is dedicated to facilitating dynamic workshops on life skills such as public speaking, focus, feedback, and leadership. The other half involves coaching students individually and in small groups, leveraging learning analytics to ensure every child advances toward ambitious weekly objectives. Many of these students would not yet be recognized as gifted within a traditional school setting.

They simply require an environment that refuses to impose a ceiling on their achievement.

Families select gt.school not because their children require remediation. They choose it because their children require a greater challenge. They seek adults who exemplify curiosity, discipline, and a passion for learning. That's why every coach ool possesses a personal record of exceptional academic achievement. Your accomplishments aren't merely credentials on paper—they're evidence that you've lived the satisfaction of striving for excellence and can model that pursuit for children.

This is a full-time, on-site position ool's Georgetown, Texas campus, located just outside Austin. We recruit nationally, so job boards may list this opportunity in nearby cities without a campus. Relocation support is available for exceptional candidates.

If the prospect of guiding gifted five- to nine-year-olds to achieve years of academic progress while cultivating the confidence and character to match their potential energizes you, we'd be eager to connect.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitate engaging life-skills workshops that support gifted K-3 students in developing communication, focus, leadership, resilience, and other enduring skills through active engagement rather than passive instruction.
  • Coach students individually and in small groups, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and strong relationships to ensure every student advances toward ambitious weekly learning objectives.
  • Evaluate life-skill mastery through gt.school's Test2

Pass framework, coaching students until they exhibit genuine comprehension and consistent application.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to the developmental needs of your cohort, blending creativity and playfulness with exceptionally high expectations for young learners' capabilities.
  • Cultivate relationships that challenge gifted students to welcome difficult work, persist through obstacles, and develop the character that matches their intellectual capacity.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Teaching academic lessons from the front of the classroom. Students acquire core academic subjects through adaptive, AI-powered software.
  • Constraining gifted students because of conventional grade-level expectations.
  • Creating curriculum from the ground up. You'll customize proven playbooks rather than design lessons from nothing.
  • Monitoring students as they work on their own. Your impact comes from coaching, motivating, and developing each child.
  • Reducing standards when students face difficult challenges. You'll support students in rising to ambitious goals rather than lowering the bar.
